The Women in Energy Dialogue event, held on May 19, 2023, in Lagos, Nigeria, highlighted the pivotal role of women in implementing Nigeria’s Energy Transition Plan (ETP). The event, organized by the Energy Transition Office (ETO), brought together female professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders to foster collaboration and develop actionable solutions for advancing clean energy initiatives. With Nigeria recognized as a high-impact nation for achieving UN SDG7, the ETP aims to combat energy poverty and climate change. The dialogue showcased the importance of partnerships and investment, with significant financial commitments already mobilized to support the ambitious energy transition goals.
